While we are working towards being accessible to as many people as possible, there are significant limits to accessibility at Hot shots.
The two paths leading from the street to the entrance are over uneven ground (cobblestones and unpaved dirt). Parking is available next to the entrance.
Entering the building and main space involves a small number of steps, but we have a ramp that can be set up to negotiate these.
We have two toilet cubicles downstairs, but both are small, and not wheelchair accessible.
The upstairs lounge and studio areas (including Incendium Radical Library) are up two flights of stairs.
Most lighting in the building is fluorescent and can be quite dim. Seating is available throughout most of the space. Animals are welcome. There is no smoking on the ground level.
We chose a less accessible space because of its cheap rent and location. We aim to make it more accessible – for example, we are going to install handrails in the toilets – however it will remain inaccessible to many people and we acknowledge that we have made that decision. Please get in touch with someone from the space if you have any specific needs, questions or suggestions.
