★★★★★★★★★ AFRICARIBBEAN ★★★★★★★★★

Africarribean is an invitation to travel through the music of the African diaspora in America, especially in the Caribbean (Antilles), Pacific coast of Colombia to Peru and the coast of Brazil in the Atlantic Ocean. The music of the diaspora is characterized by a deep vindication of the African roots in exile, caused mainly by the slavery and by one of the forced migrations and the history of the humanity that dates from century IX.

The music of the diaspora that represents both the first slaves and their descendants, is composed of hundreds of rhythms and styles that in addition to keeping in their drums the key to resistance to slavery, demonstrate the capacity for survival and syncretism of culture African to local and foreign cultures.

Africaribbean, in its first edition, will tour northern Colombia, Cuba, Jamaica, the Lesser Antilles and the west coast of Africa (Congo, South Africa, Ivory Coast). The music will take Hotshots as a link and universal language of resistance, through Salsa, Son, Boogaloop, Calypso, Reggae, Dancehall, Cumbia, Porro, Vallenato, Soukous, Muha, Highlife, Mapale, Bullerengue ….
